Jack O’Connell (Loyola Rome ’68–’69)

2022's Spirit of Felice Award Winner

Loyola Rome congratulates this year's winner of the Felice Award, Mr. Jack O’Connell (JFRC ’68–’69). The award is given to a Loyola Rome alumnus(a) who has shown exemplary leadership in business, the community, and support to Loyola Rome.

Jack was born in New York in 1948. He attended the Cranwell School, in Lenox, MA, and enjoyed studying at Loyola Rome (‘68-69), John Carroll University (’70), University College, Dublin (’71), and Columbia University (’74). Jack taught English at The Browning School for Boys, NYC; Saint Bernard’s School, NYC; The Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich CT; and The Brunswick School, Greenwich, CT. He served many leading roles as teacher, dean, and mentor.
