Overview

Research

With expertise across basic, clinical, and translational research, Stritch's research enterprise seeks greater understanding of how the human body functions, the role of disease progression (and prevention), and how to translate those bench to bedside discoveries more broadly to communities. We strive to accelerate the translation of fundamental science discoveries into treatments to improve human health.

Our comprehensive research infrastructure provides support at all levels of the research process – from grants, contracts, and technology transfer to compliance and a range of cores.

Dr. Amy Blair talks with students on the Health Sciences Campus.
As we train the next generation of researchers and scientists, our approach is uniquely collaborative. By sharing and synthesizing data and individual knowledge, we develop breakthroughs to improve human and community health, and ultimately, decrease health disparities. Meharvan (Sonny) Singh, PhD, Vice Provost of Research

Infectious Disease and Immunology Research Institute (InDIRI)

The mission of the Infectious Disease and Immunology Research Institute (InDIRI): understand interactions between microbes and the immune system, and translate this knowledge to the treatment, control, and prevention of diseases caused by human infectious agents. We establish collaborations with basic and clinical scientists studying microbes and the immune system.
