Corporate Social Responsibility Leader, Grant Thornton

Laura Eilts is a strategic leader with more than 20 years of experience in corporate citizenship and non-profit management. Currently, Laura is a Corporate Social Responsibility Leader at Grant Thornton with a focus on leveraging firm resources to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Grant Thornton is a founding sponsor of Impact 2030, a private sector led organization mobilizing corporations to address the global goals, where Laura serves as an Advisory Council Member and Regional Voice Leader, introducing other companies to the goals and seeking opportunities for corporate collaboration. Laura joined Grant Thornton in January 2016.

Prior to Grant Thornton, Laura was a Corporate Citizenship Leader for Deloitte, leading the Central Region and Deloitte’s nationally recognized multi-million dollar pro bono program. She managed charitable contributions, board involvement, thought leadership, volunteer engagement and pro bono investments. Laura was with Deloitte from 2006 to 2015.

Laura came to Deloitte from Chicago Cares where she served as the organization's Executive Director for ten years. Chicago Cares is a leading non-profit focused on creating volunteer experiences that connect people and communities, to meet critical needs and build a stronger Chicago.

Laura is a sought after public speaker and advisor. She is a member of the Chicago Cares Board of Directors, Corporate Responsibility Group of Chicago, Advisory Board member of The Kindness Connection, and former Board Chair of Mudlark Theater where she was honored as “Mudlarkian of the Year” in 2016. She was a Governor-appointed member of the Illinois Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service and served for three years on the United Way of Greater Chicago Campaign Cabinet. She is personally passionate about service and mobilizing human capital for good.
