Express Academic Advising Hours
The preferred method to meet with your advisor is during a full appointment either in-person or virtually. You can find details on scheduling an in person or virtual appointment in the Academic Advising tab.
Virtual Express Advising is available during the fall and spring semesters using an online chat platform which can be accessed by clicking the link below. Please note that Express Advising is only available during the stated hours - we cannot respond to any chat messages received outside of our scheduled hours. Students will be helped in the order in which they join the queue.
Note: If your advisor is in First and Second Year Advising (FSYA), you should use FSYA's Express Advising services. See the FSYA site for more information.
Express Advising is held every Monday-Thursday from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM (CST)

About Extended Express Advising Hours
Last Day to Withdraw with a "W" Grade
For CAS Transfers, Juniors, and Seniors:
The College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office holds Express Advising hours for juniors, seniors, and transfer students on the last day to withdraw with a "W" grade each Fall and Spring semester. The last day to withdraw from a course and receive a "W" grade is the end of the tenth week of the regular semester. Students may withdraw themselves from courses via LOCUS unless they have a Hold on their account that prevents them from withdrawing, if they are part-time, or if they are dropping below 12 credit hours.
For CAS Freshmen and Sophomores:
The advisors of First and Second Year Advising (FSYA) hold drop-in advising hours for first-year students and sophomores. Please visit First and Second Year Advising for more information.
