Community Partner Events
Each year, the Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, & Scholarship holds several events on campus for community partners to support student recruitment, capacity development, and general partner-student engagement. Please contact Jorion Tucker (email@example.com), Community Partnerships Coordinator, for more information about any of them or to suggest topics for future workshops.
Spring Non-Profit Opportunities Fair & Workshop
January 25, 2023
The Non-Profit Opportunities Fair is an opportunity for our non-profit community partners to meet and recruit Loyola students for volunteering, service-learning, internships, research, or part/full-time work. Separately, we will be offering a workshop focusing on Critical Components of Partnership, prior to the start of the fair.
Due to space constraints, capacity for this event will be limited. More information and registration details coming soon!
Loyola Undergraduate Research and Engagement Symposium (LURES)
April 22, 2023
As part of the University-wide Celebration of Students, the Undergraduate Research & Engagement Symposium showcases undergraduate research and community engagement at Loyola University Chicago. We invite all community partners to join us to learn about our students' work, and we also hope you will consider evaluating. A major part of the Symposium is the opportunity for students to have their presentations evaluated, and we rely on the Loyola community—alumni, community partners, faculty, and staff—to do that. If you are interested in serving as an evaluator, please check back closer to the event for more information
Community Partner Gathering
Each summer, the Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, & Scholarship hosts a conference of workshops, panels, and networking opportunities. This event is designed to bring together dozens of different community organizations, CELTS staff, and other Loyola faculty and staff to connect, learn, and celebrate our work together.
Part-Time Job, Internship, and Service Fair
In conjunction with Loyola's Career Development Center and Office of Community Service and Action, we host the annual Part-Time Job, Internship, and Service Fair. Scheduled early in the fall semester, this is an excellent opportunity to recruit our eager students!
