Bernard Boateng
Ph.D. Student
Bernard Ofori Boateng's research focuses on building reliable agentic AI for data science tasks. He evaluates how AI agents reason, plan, select tools, and execute complex analytical workflows, with particular attention to where errors arise and compound across multiple steps.
His work uses computational experiments and benchmarks to compare AI and large language model approaches. It is grounded in his development of ChatMRPT, a conversational AI system that integrates multi-model routing and geospatial analysis tools to support malaria intervention planning in Nigeria.
Bernard's goal is to make AI agents more accurate and dependable in real-world data science settings. He conducts his doctoral research at Loyola University Chicago under the supervision of Professors Ifeoma Ozodiegwu, Mohammed Abuhamad, and Francisco Iacobelli.
