Jaclyn Jacunski
Adjunct Instructor
Jaclyn Jacunski is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist, and curator, whose work moves between drawing, print, and installation, often built from materials scavenged from building sites in changing neighborhoods. She's drawn to how objects and surfaces carry their own histories, using processes like casting, transfer, and repetition to let materials shape the image rather than simply illustrate an idea. Jacunski holds an MFA in Printmaking from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she spent nearly a decade directing community-based art and design programming on Chicago's West Side. She is Co-Director of Tiger Strikes Asteroid Chicago and maintains an active studio and teaching practice rooted in printmaking's tradition of accessibility.
