Teaching Philosophy:
I like to provide a firm and clear structure for each course, provide various activities for students to explore the material together as a community, including group discussion and written response, and creatively-based assessment methods. My rules for the classroom foster a sense of common ground and respect between students as I function as a facilitator and a guide within the landmarks of subject matter, critical discussion and writing assignments. Most of all, I encourage students to locate, develop and strengthen their own points of view, modes of writing, and ways of communicating.
