A bit about Jesus...

  • Where's your hometown? Chicago, IL
  • What’s one highlight from your first semester of college? Getting to know so many people through my scholarship program. I attended UW-Madison as a Posse Scholar and have been able to meet so many amazing people from Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and the DMV area!
  • What do you wish you’d known when you started college? That it is okay to feel however you are feeling. I am a first-generation college student who faced numerous challenges. I have learned how important it is to trust yourself through all of the thick and thin, and that you belong. 
  • What do you like about advising first and second year students? It is a time to explore! Whether you are undecided or know what you are majoring in, now is a time to learn more of what you are passionate and curious about. As you continue progressing throughout your academic journey, you will be amazed at how far you have come and developed.
  • What’s your favorite thing about Loyola? My favorite thing about Loyola is how hidden the Lake Shore Campus is. Driving through Sheridan Road truly hides how much more beautiful the campus is as it leads you to an amazing view of Lake Michigan and of the city!
  • What’s your favorite thing about Chicago? I love how lively and diverse it is! There is always something to do, opportunities to meet new people, and food spots to try. Chicago is so much more than the downtown area and I encourage you to explore the outskirts if you have the chance!
  • What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy attending festivals and concerts, going on random shopping sprees, and traveling!
