Juan Rosendo

Graduate Intern

A bit about Juan...

  • Where is your hometown? Chicago, Illinois
  • What’s one highlight from your first semester of college? The feeling of returning to in-person classes after the COVID-19 pandemic was one of the best feelings ever. I graduated from high-school during the pandemic, so it was a very odd and unique experience. However, returning to in-person classes and interacting with students again was the biggest highlight of my first semester!
  • What do you wish you’d known when you started college? There is never a singular path you can take throughout college. I initially started as a Public Policy major at UIC, and now I am at LUC pursuing a master's in data science! If I had known this, I would have explored more options instead of focusing on my declared major for my first two years.
  • What’s your favorite thing about Loyola? I love the location of the university! Walking to class while feeling the lake breeze is the best feeling ever! This is especially true when midterms and finals come up!
  • What’s your favorite thing about Chicago? The coffee places in Chicago are AMAZING! I have travelled a good amount across the United States, and one thing I learned: no city has come close to the coffees in Chicago. I have yet to try an iced coffee than an Iced Lucky Charms Latte :)
  • What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to spend time with friends and family. I usually have game nights with friends, or travel to different locations around Illinois with my family. Either way, It is always a blast!
