St. Albert’s Day 2025 Award Recipients

St. Albert’s Day is a commemorative event celebrating our campus-wide commitment to research and its important role in Loyola’s mission. It is a Celebration of Research, showcasing students from the Graduate School, Stritch School of Medicine, Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health, and the Loyola Lake Shore Campus. 

On November 6th, 2025 Loyola celebrated the 45th Annual St. Albert's Day, with around 300 students presenting. 

Below are the winners of the graduate student oral presentation competitions!

PhD Students

1st.  Michael Volyanyuk (Neuroscience program, Foecking lab)

2nd.  Suzanne Quinn (Integrative Cell Biology program, Nishimura lab)

2nd.  Tris Buck (Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics program, Sodhi lab)

 

MS Students

1st.  Catherine Brassil (Infectious Disease and Immunology program, Mounce lab)

2nd.  Autumn Johnson (Neuroscience program, Torres lab)

3rd.  Hussein Qtaish (Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics program, Kaja lab)
