February 9 – March 30, 2013

Inspired by the variety of sunflowers found in the school garden (aptly named Trailblazer’s Eden) as well as Helen Keller’s comment, “Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow; it’s what the sunflowers do,” all art classes spent a class period or two producing their own sunflowers. After studying the lives and works of Vincent van Gogh and Georgia O’Keeffe, students emulated their styles and techniques.
