Horn, Andrew

Adjunct Professor of Art History

Andrew Horn received his PhD in History of Art from the University of Edinburgh in 2017. His research focuses on Italian art and architecture of the late fifteenth through seventeenth centuries, with particular emphasis on theatre and performance in early modern religious culture. He has held teaching posts in art history at the University of Edinburgh and the University of St Andrews, and his research has been supported by the Leverhulme Trusts Early Career Fellowship, the Renaissance Society of America, and the Association for Art History (U.K.). His first monograph, Andrea Pozzo and the Religious Theatre of the Seventeenth Century, was published by Saint Joseph’s University Press (Philadelphia) in late 2019. His more recent work has examined the drama of Christs passion as represented in sculpture and multimedial installations in early modern Lombardy and Piedmont.
