Asia Adams

SCPS Ambassador, Asia Adams

Asia Adams

Asia is a 2022 graduate of the BA Management program.

Asia's educational journey began in a community college as she explored her interest in business, contemplating the prospect of law school. Upon connecting with Loyola's admissions team, she felt a profound sense of belonging and opted for the university due to the rapport she established. Nervous yet determined, Asia valued the adult program at Loyola, finding resonance with older peers and appreciating the diverse learning environment.

"I was in community college and I started to get really interested in business. I wanted to maybe go into law school and
had spoken to a few schools; but, as soon as I spoke to someone from Loyola's admissions, I just felt like I connected with people here way more."

Asia understands the challenges of juggling studies, work, and family; and, she respects those who navigate multiple responsibilities. Her time at Loyola, despite initial uncertainties, equipped her for her career at a law firm and inspired her ongoing involvement as an ambassador, maintaining ties with the community established during her capstone project.

"I feel like it's just getting over that hurdle of the anticipation especially for those that really just haven't been in school for that long."

Asia's decision to attend Loyola was initially daunting due to financial concerns and the fear of accruing debt. However, her experience not only prepared her for her career but also surprised her with the strength of the online community. Unlike her previous online education encounters, Loyola offered a vibrant online environment, fostering connections among students and creating a sense of camaraderie.
