Staff Member of the Year:  Susan Ries

"She is characterized by the fact that she would never ask you to do something she would not do herself. She exemplifies the idea of a team player. She cares for people both personally and professionally, and she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She’s a hard worker. She’s tough, but fair, and always listens with open ears."

Kay Egan Award (Person for Others):  Joe Canino

"He consistently makes a positive impact on the students, faculty and staff of Loyola University, and has been doing so for a number of years. The two words that come to mind when describing him are: generosity and hospitality. He is always available to share his expertise, supplies, and even a snack with anyone seeking him out."

Student Service Award (Person for Students): Jack McLean

"He is an individual with heart and is always willing to help others improve their lives. His passion and devotion to students exemplifies many of the Jesuit characteristics, and I think all students and staff with whom he interacts with notice that."

Rising Star Award: Rise Nelson Burrow

"As a role model, she lives out values-based leadership both in her professional and personal life and expects that the students in her programs live out the values as well. She focuses on personal awareness and the holistic development of each of her students and is genuinely concerned about their personal and academic life."

Team Spirit Award:  University Marketing and Communication
