Undergraduate Programs
People study theology for lots of different reasons, and come to the field with unique perspectives and interests. In the Theology Department at Loyola, there's room for everyone.
Whether you're obsessed with St. Augustine, interested in interreligious dialogue, always wanted to translate the gospels from Greek, or can't help but constantly analyze how religion functions in our society and culture today, you will find what interests you here!
Find out about our courses by reading their descriptions posted here on our website!
Meet your Undergraduate Program Director!
Lauren O'Connell
As the Undergraduate Programs Director, I work closely with students to customize their studies and ensure that our course offerings are not only interesting and diverse but also applicable to students’ lives. In the Theology Department we strive to embody the value of cura personalis, getting to know our students both inside and outside the classroom. Whether you are looking for Core classes that interest you or want to explore Theology or Religious Studies more deeply in one of our majors or minors, we are here to guide and accompany you.
If you have questions about our programs, please feel free to reach out to me at loconnel1@luc.edu or Randall Newman, Program Coordinator at rnewman2@luc.edu.
