Margaret E. Jones is a Director at the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA). In this role, she provides strategic oversight and thought leadership on revenue and partnership initiatives for CHA and its non-profit affiliate, the Chicago Housing Consulting Services, Inc., NFP where she serves as their Program Officer. Margaret has spent her career at CHA specializing in the areas of grant program development and management, civic engagement, strategy, and operations. Under Margaret’s direction, CHA received $140 million in Federal, State, Corporate and Foundation funding for capital and resident initiatives.

Margaret is a firm believer in the importance of equitable access to high-quality education and enrichment programs for Chicago’s youth. She was selected to serve as co-chair for CHA’s Year of the Youth Campaign that help launched several key-youth focused programs. Because of her bold vision and perseverance, CHA became the first government agency in Chicago to participate in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Metro Chicago Workplace Mentoring Program promoting relationship development, risky behavior avoidance and educational achievement. Margaret is a “Big” mentor to a Smyth Elementary sixth grader.

Ms. Jones is a local board member with United Way’s Cook County/City of Chicago Emergency Food and Shelter Program. She also served on Susan G. Komen’s Grant Review Panel.
