The Loyola University Chicago community mourns the loss of Elliott Leonhardt, an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), who passed away the weekend of June 28. 

Elliott is remembered by many in the Department of Physics, where several faculty members came to know him personally. "Elliott was an outstanding student, a friendly classmate, and a sincere person. He was an enthusiastic member of our community with a passion for science," the department shared in a collective statement. 

According to the family, services will be held at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel, Roselle, IL (450 W Lake Street), with a wake from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, and a funeral at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9.
