Women’s Integrative Leadership Lab (WILL)

The Women’s Integrative Leadership Laboratory (WILL) creates space to develop a distinctively Gannon approach to women’s leadership formation by bringing together: 

• Contemporary scholarship on women and leadership, including research on gender, identity, power, relationships, and women’s pathways to leadership.  

• The educational philosophy and leadership legacy of the BVMs, drawing on the history of Mundelein College and resources within the Women’s Leadership Archives (WLA).  

• Jesuit and Ignatian traditions of leadership formation, with particular attention to reflection, discernment, vocation, values, and care for the whole person.  

• The lived experiences and wisdom of women leaders, connecting scholarship with the knowledge of our Gannon community and accomplished leaders from Loyola and beyond. 

Join Us for Gannon Community Nights 

At the heart of WILL are monthly Gannon Community Nights, bringing our community together for food, conversation, reflection, and engagement with accomplished women leaders from Loyola and beyond.  

Each month, the WILL Lab will host an event that focuses on a topic that is central to the developmental arc of leadership formation we are implementing at the Gannon Center.  

This includes events focused on the core leadership topics of (1) life stories; (2) leadership foundations (skills, strengths, and values); (3) crucibles and vulnerability; (4) self-awareness; (5) balance; (6) purpose; and (7) discernment.  

These gatherings will feature outstanding women leaders are open to members of the broader Gannon and Loyola communities. 

Each event will take place from 4-5:30pm in the McCormick Lounge on the Loyola’s Lakeshore Campus.
