Judge Robert J. Anderson
Retired Circuit Judge
Robert Anderson is a retired DuPage County Circuit Judge. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a BA degree and a JD degree. Bob spent most of his career as a Judge working with children and families. He served as the Presiding Judge of the Domestic Relations Division for over 11 years. While serving as a Judge, Anderson was honored for his work in violence prevention, promoting education, his work on domestic violence issues and on juvenile issues. He has been an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he teaches Family Law, since 1996. He is a Past President of the Illinois Judges Association and previously served as the Chair of the DuPage County Circuit Court Family Violence Coordinating Council. He is a member of the ISBA Assembly and a member of the Child Law Section council. He is on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Illinois CASA; Project Help; 360 Youth Services; and Resolution Systems Institute – all not-for-profit groups helping children, families, and Court Systems.
