About

Lisa Carter Ellison is Director of Strategic Coverage Counsel at CNA Insurance and is also a pro bono attorney at Willow Creek Legal Aid. Ellison’s legal practice is focused on insurance coverage and business litigation. Ellison started her legal career as a litigation associate with Troutman Sanders LLP and has over 10 years of experience as corporate counsel. 

Ellison is an active alumnus of Virginia Tech and serves on the Pamplin College of Business Advisory Council (2012–present). She also serves as an Alumni Mentor for Pamplin. Ellison has also served as a teacher and facilitator for Junior Achievement and as a guest judge for Loyola legal advocacy teams.

Ellison is a member of the Illinois and California bars, and holds the CPCU designation.
