Julian Johnson is a civil rights attorney who focuses his practice on representing and advocating for victims of police brutality and misconduct. Julian began his career as a public defender in Boston, MA. He then returned to Chicago and joined the City of Chicago Law Department where he worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel and later as Senior Counsel representing the City of Chicago in complex and high-profile civil rights litigation in state and federal court. Currently, Julian operates a private law practice.
Julian holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science from Howard University. He received his JD from the Southern University Law Center, where he served as an editor on the Journal of Race, Gender & Poverty and as a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Fellow.
