Marron Mahoney

About

Marron A. Mahoney practices in the areas of corporate law, civil litigation, government law, and appellate practice.  Ms. Mahoney has worked on complex issues through all stages of the litigation process, from initial pleadings through appeals, and, as a former General Counsel to a State agency, she also has extensive experience counseling clients on corporate and local government issues including labor and employment, FOIA, ethics, and contracts.

Ms. Mahoney has held three judicial clerkships during her legal career, both at the trial court and appellate court level. She clerked for the Honorable James F. Holderman, former Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; the Honorable Sharon Prost, current Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.; and the Honorable Laura Liu at the Illinois Appellate Court, First District.

Ms. Mahoney is a member of Will County and the Illinois State Bar Associations and served as the Chair of the ISBA Young Lawyers Division from 2017-2018. She also is a member of the Richard Linn Inn of Court in Chicago and the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association.

Ms. Mahoney was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2014 and received the Illinois State Bar Association’s Board of Governors Award in 2014.
