About

David J. Rivelli is a trial and appellate attorney at Richard J. Prendergast, Ltd., where he specializes in commercial and personal injury litigation. His commercial litigation experience includes breach of contract, restrictive covenants, misrepresentation, probate and will contests, business divorce, cybersecurity and data protection, professional liability, wrongful termination, civil forfeiture, theft of trade secrets, non-wage garnishment claims, and construction disputes. Mr. Rivelli also has extensive experience in the field of personal injury litigation – obtaining awards in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, civil assault and battery, defective medical devices, medical malpractice, and wrongful death claims.

Mr. Rivelli served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John C. Griffin in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Commercial Division. While in law school, at Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, Mr. Rivelli was awarded the Philip H. Corboy Fellowship in trial advocacy. In addition to his legal background, Mr. Rivelli has experience working as a journalist. He graduated with a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 2008.
