About

Robert Schur is a proud graduate of Loyola’s law school and currently a Director, Fiduciary Advisory Services at BMO Family Office in Chicago. His professional interests are at the intersection of trusts and estates and finance. In his current role, he advises the bank’s clients on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and the investment and tax considerations inherent to each. Prior to joining BMO Harris, Robert practiced as a trusts and estates attorney at Hamilton Thies & Lorch LLP, a boutique trusts and estates firm, and as a banking and finance attorney at Baker McKenzie LLP. He is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Florida.

Robert is thrilled to be a part of the law school faculty and share both his law firm, corporate fiduciary, and banking experience with law students. His career path demonstrates the versatility of the Loyola JD degree and the many doors opened by the Loyola alumni network.

Outside the classroom, Robert is an avid baseball fan who has visited all 30 major league parks, dozens of minor league fields, and took his post-bar exam trip to visit the stadiums of the Japanese leagues. He resides in Northbrook with his wife, Rebecca.
