About
An expert in International Business Law, Andrew Spalding has taught international business transactions, anti-corruption, comparative business law, contracts, securities regulation, and conducted research on anti-corruption laws in international business. Before teaching at University of Richmond School of Law and Chicago-Kent College of Law, Andrew was a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar for the U.S.-India Educational Foundation where he conducted research and lectured at law and business schools in India, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. Andrew has published and presented on issues of international business, economic development and corruption.
Before he was a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar, Andrew practiced in securities enforcement and litigation at Wilmer Culter Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP where he advised companies on issues of corporate governance, conducted internal investigations concerning insider trading, represented companies and individuals in criminal and civil litigation and enforcement proceedings, and drafted a memorandum for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of an African nation concerning compliance with international law. His legal experience also include Judicial Clerkships with The Honorable Howard D. McKibben with the U.S. District Court in the District of Nevada and The Honorable Jay S. Bybee with the Ninth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
