Tyler Valeska
Assistant Professor of Law

Tyler Valeska

Tyler Valeska is an expert in First Amendment law, election law, and Constitutional law. Prior to joining Loyola, he was a Thomas C. Grey Fellow and Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School and a teaching fellow at Cornell Law School’s First Amendment Clinic.

Assistant Professor of Law

Richard Weinmeyer

Richard Weinmeyer is an expert in public health law, health law, and bioethics. His research focuses on how law and policy can be used to solve fundamental issues in public health.

Jordan Paradise
Co-Chair, Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy

Jordan Paradise

Jordan Paradise researches and publishes on the intersection of law, science, and technology. Her primary focus is in the life science realm, examining legal and policy issues in the development and regulation of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and innovations in medicine.

Nadia Sawicki
Co-Chair, Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy

Nadia N. Sawicki

Nadia N. Sawicki is an expert in torts, health law, and bioethics. Her scholarly work addresses the law’s role in shaping the informed consent process; tort law’s limitations in protecting the rights of patients in end-of-life and reproductive health contexts; challenges of protecting patients’ rights to safe and accessible medical care while also accommodating health care providers’ conscientious beliefs; and the state’s role in enforcing ethical norms in medicine.

Barry Sullivan
Raymond and Mary Simon Chair in Constitutional Law

Barry Sullivan

Barry Sullivan, an expert in Constitutional law and the Supreme Court, has litigated cases in many state and federal courts, including arguing four cases in front of the United States Supreme Court. Among his notable cases are People v. Wilson, Batson v. Kentucky, and Hamdi v. Rumsfeld. (September 2024)
