Director, Center for Business Law and the Business Law Clinic

Professor Lee joined Loyola University Chicago Law School in the summer of 2019 as a full Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Business Law/Clinic. At Loyola, she teaches several business law and clinical/experiential courses and serves on various law school committees and on the Faculty Council Executive Board of the University.

Previously, she was a member of the faculty and director of clinical programs at several national law schools, for nearly two decades, focusing principally on entrepreneurship, intellectual property, community economic growth and transactional law. Prior to her academic career, Professor Lee served as in-house corporate counsel and staff director at McDonald’s Corporation. Lee has won numerous individual awards including the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Community Service (Midwest Region); McDonald’s Corporation President’s Award; Ronda F. Williams Spirit of Diversity Award; St. Louis Business Journal Innovator’s Award; a Veterans Award with Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry (CLAM); and has also won team awards, including: SuperLawyers™ Probono (2012 and 2014) and the Clinical Legal Education Association (CLEA) Clinic Award (2015). Lee is a member of the DC Court of Appeals, Illinois, Northern District of Illinois and U.S. Supreme Court bars.

Lee is researching innovation and entrepreneurship in transactional law centers nationally and is the author of Crowdfunding Capital in the Age of Blockchain-Based Tokens (St. John’s Law Review); Access to Capital or Just More Blues? (TN Journal of Business) and various other articles, books and journals on clinical legal and transactional education.
