MSW Student & Alum Ambassador Program

The School of Social Work’s (SSW) MSW Student & Alum Ambassador Program was developed to connect prospective students with members of the SSW’s community as they seek to learn more about our MSW program and determine if the program and school is a good fit for them.

MSW Ambassadors are a group of current MSW students and alumni who serve as a resource to both prospective students and the SSW. Ambassadors play an integral role in the recruitment of future MSW students as they connect with prospective students and share their social work educational and professional experiences in a way that has a positive impact on a prospective student’s decision to complete their graduate studies with the SSW.

What do MSW Student Ambassadors do?

Throughout the year MSW Ambassadors serve as a point of contact or “expert” on the Loyola School of Social Work student experience and participate in admissions and enrollment events to connect with prospective students. These events, held specifically for prospective students to learn more about our program, include, but are certainly not limited to:

  • Online Q&A Sessions
  • Information Sessions
  • Open Houses
  • Phone-a-thons
  • School of Social Work Campus Visit Days

A full description of MSW Ambassador duties can be found here.

Why Serve as an MSW Ambassador?

As an MSW Student Ambassador you will have the opportunity to network with members (students, faculty/staff, and alumni) of the SSW community; give back and invest in the reputation and longevity of the MSW program and the SSW; and participate in MSW Student Ambassadors Appreciation Events sponsored by the SSW.
