What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola? I love the students, my co-workers, and the community. There is so much passion for working for and with others. I love that I get to build deep relationships with students to see them grow in their leadership and their understanding of their community in the years they are at Loyola. I also love working with the community and seeing the amazing work that our community is doing, which you may not know unless you are a part of it.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee? There are so many things that I will always remember from my time thus far at Loyola, but my favorite part of every year is the orientation that I host of the Loyola4Chicago volunteers. There is so much energy and excitement from students who are ready to connect with each other and their community. It is so much fun!

What does Loyola's mission mean to you? Loyola’s mission means being a person for others, and an institution for our community. I believe we are called to share our resources to build our community, while also accepting the resources from our community to make the institution and ourselves stronger. I try to live this way in my work, and I hope my students start to see this as their relationship to their community as well.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day? Stories. I love listening to students talk about their experience at their service sites, other ways they are connected in the community, or their time with others on campus. There is so much joy in learning about others and building relationships and those relationships and stories of other’s relationships, in spaces I helped build, is what keeps me going.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride: One of the ways that I support the Rambler community and show my pride is through Welcome Week. I love the energy of the cheer tunnel and supporting the new members of our community. Also, the most important part of the week for me is Saturday of Service where I can show my pride in both the students and the community by bringing everyone together to welcome our new Rambler family members.

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you: I love games and bar trivia! I am not necessarily good, but I will take every opportunity I can to play trivia with any team! If you are ever looking for a trivia partner just let me know!
