UNIV 101

This course is required for entering freshman where students will explore what it means to be a Loyola student. Loyola understands that student-athletes have extensive responsibilities and offers a special population section dedicated exclusively to student-athletes to address their unique needs and time constraints.

Student-Athletes will have the opportunity to learn about Loyola's Jesuit tradition, review academic eligibility rules, learn about SAAC, be introduced to the myriad of services and activities available on campus, in the community, and across the greater Chicagoland area which will contribute to their first-year experiences. Student-Athletes will learn strategies for academic and personal success in college and will reflect on how to make the most of Loyola University in order to shape their undergraduate experience around each student-athletes unique academic, athletic, career, and personal goals.

UNIV 101 is currently a requirement for graduation and taught as a pass, no pass class.
