Taizé Prayer

Taizé Prayer at Madonna della Strada

Wednesdays in Madonna della Strada Chapel at 8:00 p.m.

Taizé Prayer is filled with song, scripture, and silent meditation. It is based on Evening Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours and is modeled on the style of prayer in the Taizé Community in France. The sanctuary is candlelit and the music is repetitive and chant-like. Those who attend regularly find a profound peace and tranquility in this style of prayer. This style of prayer began on our campus during the season of Lent in the year 2001. Everyone, regardless of one's faith tradition, is welcome to this ecumenical prayer service.

For those who enjoy the style of prayer from the Taizé community, you are invited to join them virtually from their community in France: https://www.taize.fr/en_article28227.html.
