Support

Full time students (MS and PhD) are eligible for merit based support.  In the case of MS students, this typically is done via support as a teaching assistant and the amount varies depending on the levels of teaching the student wishes to do.  This can be flexible to accommodate other commitments. In the case of full time PhD students, this is typically a stipend and the expectation is that the student is committing the majority of their time to the program.  In addition to teaching assistantship positions, many of our students are supported via research assistantships provided for our faculty’s federally funded research. Competitive fellowships are also given by the university at various levels of studies. For students looking for alternative forms of support, please visit or email the Office of Financial Aid.
