My name is Heena, and I am a 4th year student here at Loyola majoring in Molecular/Cellular Neuroscience and an Arabic minor! A little bit about me: I was born in Chicago and raised in its suburbs. I come from a South Asian ethnic background. My journey in Arabic started when I was in pre-school since I attended a full-time Islamic school till the 8th grade. Therefore, I’m trilingual - English, Urdu, and Arabic! My love for Arabic stems from my religious background, but I really came to appreciate the intricacies and beauty of the language after my journey from ARAB 101 - ARAB 104, including the courses that came along with the minor. I was so excited when Ustaadha asked me to take on the role as the Arabic coach, and I aspire to share my love for the language with other students and help them better their linguistic skills, in shaa Allah!

My name is Lukas and I'm a junior studying psychology. I lived my whole life in Germany before I moved to the US to go to Loyola. By moving for the first time to a completely different country, I've experienced that speaking to a native speaker is the best way to learn languages. Hi everyone! My name is Tommaso Chiaramondia and I am a sophomore majoring in Information Systems, I also play Club Rugby here at Loyola. I was born and raised in Italy, Milan, I moved in the US at the age of 16 to continue my studies. I am glad to be able to help teaching Italian language and Italian culture, my parents are still living in Italy and I get the chance during school breaks to go back and visit them, I am very excited to be able to share with you my experiences. Witam! My name is Jakub Jedrzejewski, and I am a senior majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Polish Studies. I am a cadet in the Loyola ROTC program. I was born in Gorlice, Poland and emigrated to the United States in 2007. Polish is my first language, and I have attended various Polish schools around Chicago. Hi! My name is Aida, I'm a senior at Loyola with a major in Psychology and a minor in Bioethics on the pre-med track, and I currently work in a hospital laboratory, gaining the necessary experience I need to be successful in my future endeavors in medicine. This semester, I am hosting coaching sessions for Russian 101, as well as for Russian 102 the following semester. I have an extensive background in tutoring/ coaching, and love what I do. I will be hosting study sessions for students looking to improve their Russian-speaking abilities, securing an A in the class, and earn the ability to say that they know another language fluently. All hosting sessions are by appointment, listed below. I look forward to seeing my students succeed!
