Hallo! My name is Clara and I grew up in Erlangen, a small college town near Nuremberg in Bavaria. I lived there for 16 years before moving to Evanston, IL, to attend high school. I am currently a Senior at Loyola and I study Environmental Science. I have a very special connection to Germany and I love meeting people who study German and are interested in the country. I believe an important part of learning a language is practicing skills acquired in class and I cannot wait to get to know you in person through speaking German. I enjoy being in nature, making music, and meeting friends. I am both a language coach and a German tutor (through CTAE). Coaching focuses on conversation, anything you would like to talk about. This could include current activities, future plans, past adventures, but we can also make up stories and get very creative. (Tutoring tends to deal more with language patterns, grammar and specific concepts from class.) Please schedule a conversation with me on this link

My name is Angelica and I am a sophomore at LUC. I am majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Biology. I come from a native Polish-speaking household, making Polish my first language with English coming in second. So far with my time at Loyola, I have taken a POLS103 and finished the class with an A+. Additionally, I attended Polska Szkoła im. Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie from grades one to eleven. This included curriculum including Polish cultures & customs, history, geography, religion, etc. Another big part of our studies was interpersonal conversations. I would love to help you practice those skills too! Feel free to come and chat about food, nature, culture, music, fun activities, and more in Polish during my available times!

I am available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 – 3:00pm. If you have classes during these times I would be more than happy to schedule an appointment with you.

Hola a todos! My name is Francesca Marchese González (She/Her) and I’m a Senior double-majoring in Global & International Studies and Women’s Studies & Gender Studies. I was born and raised in Guatemala, the first country of Central America, known for its “eternal spring”, and moved to Chicago to pursue my studies at LUC.
