Alyssa
Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am a sophomore studying Psychology. I have taken ASL for 5 years and I am very passionate about the language. I took ASL 102 and 103 my freshman year, so I understand the workload and types of assignments that are given. Fun fact: I interpreted gospel readings and songs at my high school’s cathedral! If you have any questions or need assistance on your ASL learning journey, feel free to stop by during my designated coaching hours or make an appointment with me! I’m always happy to help.  Sign up for an appointment with me at LLRC Appointment Center

classmates who made studying and learning Arabic the
most special and transformative experience. My love for the
language only continues to grow through every tutoring
session I give, every poem I study with ustaadha, and
every Arabic literature class I take here at Loyola. I am
eternally grateful for ustaadha and all she has done to
cultivate engaging and artful Arabic lessons and giving me
this opportunity. I hope to share not only what I have
learned but my love for the language in hopes to help other
students and engage them to learn such a beautiful and
expressive language, in shaa Allah (هللا شاء إن(

Spanish

Daphne

¡Hola a todos! My name is Daphne Kritikakis, and I
am a senior at LUC, majoring in Finance with a
minor in Spanish Language and Literature. I am from
Chicago and grew up in a multilingual household. I
ended up learning and speaking Spanish with my
mother, who was a Spanish teacher for over 15
years and also lived in Mexico in her 20s. In addition
to learning Spanish at home, I continued to study it
throughout middle school, high school, and college.
To really improve my fluency in Spanish, I studied
abroad in Madrid last fall, and it truly was my favorite
experience of college. Tutoring Spanish is nothing
new for me, as I have been tutoring students for over
6 years, and I am so excited to help you all improve
your confidence in speaking Spanish. Whether you
are having troubles with grammar, pronunciation, or
just your overall confidence level in speaking, I am
here to help you in any way I can. ¡Muchas gracias y
tengo ganas de trabajar con ustedes
