Polish Pisanki Event
The LUC Polish Studies program hosted a vibrant Polish Pisanki Event on March 24, with the event organized by Aleksandra Majkowska Smith, bringing together students and faculty to celebrate Polish Easter traditions.
The event featured a special presentation by Mariola Wolski, who introduced participants to the art of traditional pisanki – skrobanki (scratched Easter eggs). Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the cultural significance of these intricate designs and try the technique themselves.
The gathering created a welcoming and creative atmosphere, complemented by free food and hands-on activities, offering the Loyola community a meaningful glimpse into Polish heritage and artistic expression.
