Research Interests

My identities as a trans, Filipino immigrant, first generation and low-income student has created an experience that has pushed me to explore and understand how intersecting identities affects our way of seeing the world. 
My research interests are in sense of belonging, youth empowerment, LGBTQIA+ immigrant youth, and understanding the importance of social relationships when it comes to non-traditional students' sense of belonging within higher education.
