About

Department/School/Division: Undergraduate Admission Office

Campus: Lake Shore

Years at Loyola: 25 of the last 30. Besides my current role in undergraduate admission, I have both a BBA and an MBA from Quinlan. Under the Athletics Department I served as the head of our Spirit Program, overseeing the cheer and dance teams and our LU Wolf mascots. I've been lucky to coach and mentor hundreds of Spirit Team student athletes over decades of work in Athletics and cannot wait for these teams to return to the court and field post COVID. I am blessed to have the BEST job on campus welcoming each and every potential new student and family with a Rambler smile when they visit our University in the Admission Office!

What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola? The energy of our campuses! I love the excitement of our students as they are learning new things academically and as they transition through life into their futures. The energy grows every year and the best is still ahead of us.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee? I love to reminisce with alumni and hear how their Loyola experiences led to their future successes. Seeing my “Rambler Family” grow with successful careers and families is the best reward for the extra energy I put into my daily work. I believe when we care for each student (or future student) we can give them the most memorable experiences and skills that will impact all of their future endeavors and enable to them to grow Loyola roots or keep them firmly planted.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you? A chaplain once asked of me, what gets you out of bed each morning? Find God in your purpose and pursue it with passion. Truthfully, that passion has always been for my teams in the Athletics Spirit Programs and the Undergraduate Admissions Office. Whether I am in the gym or with our extremely fabulous team of high achieving, motivated, and energetic admission counselors that I get the privilege to work with in the Undergraduate Admissions Office, I wake up each day excited to come to campus to do my very best for them and the constituents we serve.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day? Ramblers. The Current, Future, and Alumni Ramblers. How can I keep them engaged and happy during their time at Loyola? How can we welcome them to inspire them to attend Loyola? And let’s keep in touch with them so they continue to spread and support Loyola’s mission after leaving campus.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride: My closet boasts more Loyola colored clothing than you can imagine. My bike is custom painted in maroon and gold. My Loyola license plate on my car you'll see around campus is the number 19. I spread my love for LU at my desk with as much Rambler fun as one can pack into a single cubicle! I truly cannot pass any opportunity to acquire just about anything in maroon or gold!

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you: While I have a quiet disposition in many situations, I'm always comfortable and am happy grabbing a microphone to rally students, families, or fans at Athletic Department or Undergraduate Admissions events. It is easy to come out of my shell when I get a chance to share my Loyola pride...and...GO RAMBLERS!
