Welcome to Loyola University Chicago – Stritch School of Medicine
This asynchronous orientation site is designed to welcome new faculty to the Stritch School of Medicine community. Our goal is to provide an understanding of our institutional structure and the key resources available to support your teaching, research, and professional growth.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the organizational structure and relationship among Loyola University Chicago (LUC), Loyola University Health System (LUHS/Loyola Medicine), and the Health Sciences Campus (HSC).
- HR employment benefits, HealthStream, HR portal, and wellness resources.
- Identify key research, teaching, and professional development opportunities available through SSOM and LUC.
- Navigate the library and scholarly resources for teaching and research success.
- Recognize expectations for promotion and the resources available at the SSOM Committee on Academic Rank and Tenure (CART) site.

This instructional video provides new faculty with a step-by-step overview of how to create a CME profile to track CME and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits. It also demonstrates how to claim CME and MOC credits, access transcripts and certificates, and enter outside CME credits into the system.
