FCC is a Spanglish retreat for Loyola students to get together as familia y amigos! It is an opportunity para orar, hablar, y participar in your own language by sharing in small group and honoring our ancestors by exploring Latino/a culture in many ways. Te esperamos! All levels of Spanish speakers are welcome to join in this wonderful weekend.
Who's the Retreat For?
This is a retreat which centers the experience of Latin and Hispanic cultures and is open to all undergraduate students who are interested. While components of the retreat will be facilitated in Spanish, people of all levels of fluency are welcome.
What to Pack
- comfortable clothes based on the weather
- outdoor sneakers or hiking shoes, indoor comfy shoes
- flipflops / shower shoes
- any medications / antihistamines you will need
- shampoo/conditioner
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- reusable water bottle
- resuable coffee tumbler
- journal (if you have one)
- phone charger
Meals
All meals are provided by the LUREC kitchen. When you register you will have the opportunity to indicate any allergies or dietary accommodations you will need.
Cost
$50 (includes all meals, snacks, transportation, lodging, etc.) Financial aid is available for all our retreats.
