Latinx Familia Celebration

A Celebration for Graduates

 


The Division of Student Development is excited to announce the Inaugural Latinx* Familia Celebration for to celebrate our graduating students.

*Latinx is a gender-neutral term to refer to folks that identify as originating or descending from Latin America. Other terms that might be used are the following: Latino/a, Latine, Chicano, Latin American, Hispanic (but originating from Latin America), etc.


This celebration will be a chance to highlight the accomplishments of our graduating students (undergraduate, graduate, and/or professional studies) who identify as Latinx.

The event took place on Sunday, May 7th at 12:30pm in the Jo Ann Rooney Hall, on Lakeshore Campus. All student must register in order to participate. Students were encouraged to invite friends and family to attend this event. Registration opened on March 27th.

A light reception was held on the East Quad following the event.
