9th Annual Education Law: A Year in Review

This seminar addressed important developments in education law and policy during the past year. The program discussed:

  • recent developments in the Supreme Court;
  • First Amendment rights of teachers and how schools and districts can respond to curriculum objections and library book concerns;
  • student mental health needs;
  • ticketing of students and their parents for school-related conduct; and
  • legal, policy, and legislative updates from the Illinois State Board of Education.

This program was approved by the Illinois MCLE Board for 3.75 hours of general Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit.
