Welcome to Loyola University Chicago's Quinlan School of Business. To ensure that you have a successful academic experience, we recommend that you complete the following steps before you begin your program.

Confirm your acceptance

Send an e-mail to gradapp@luc.edu to confirm your intent to enroll. You are not required to submit a deposit. Check your e-mail frequently as you will receive important information and updates.

Information for new students

Visit GPEM's information for new students page to learn about housing, registration, financial aid, ID card, campus e-mail account, and important steps in the enrollment process.

Graduate financial assistance

All admitted students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and search for external funding. You can also access information about the Quinlan School of Business graduate program Financial Aid here.

Register for courses

Course registration occurs on a quarterly basis. Please make sure that you understand the academic policies for withdrawal from a class and for late registration as found in the Quinlan Graduate Programs Student Handbook. You are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor prior to registering for your first quarter.

Graduate and Professional Enrollment Management mails each new student a Universal ID and password prior to registration. The ID and password are needed to access LOCUS, Loyola's online registration system. If you do not receive your ID or password, call the ITS Call Center at 773.508.7190.

For more information, visit the registration web page.

Q-Impact: plan to attend

Loyola University Chicago's Quinlan School of Business hosts a mandatory new-student orientation session before the start of the fall and spring terms (late August and, late February,) to welcome incoming students and provide them with an opportunity to meet faculty and fellow students. All new Quinlan School of Business graduate students are required to attend. For more information or to register, click here. Contact the graduate programs office here or at 312-915-7900.

First class assignments

Faculty may choose to post first class assignments before the quarter begins on Sakai (sakai.luc.edu). Your Universal ID and password will allow you to access Sakai. A complete syllabus will be distributed by each professor during the first class meeting. All students are expected to check Sakai to see if they need to complete any work before the first class period. If the course for which you have registered does not have an assignment listed, there is no first class assignment for that class.
