Notes on Nubia
- Before attending law school, James Faught played on the University of Notre Dame tennis team and traveled throughout Europe on a professional team. He twice gave tennis lessons to legendary actor Charlton Heston.
- A lifelong music lover, Faught grew up in Detroit, a.k.a. Motown. At London’s Heathrow Airport in 1971, he noticed the Four Tops’ Levi Stubbs 25 feet away. Stubbs waved and walked over, thinking that Faught was musician Glen Campbell.
- Faught served as a roadie for the Buckinghams, a Chicago pop band that charted five Top 40 hits in 1967. Faught met guitarist Carl Giammarese when they were neighbors in Evanston.
