Interested in becoming a student organization advisor?
Advisor qualifications, roles, and expectations:
- Advisors must be full-time faculty/staff members of the University.
- Provide approval via LUCommunity during the student organization annual registration.
- Take an active part in helping the student organization form bylaws, guiding principles, constitutional updates, elections and officer transition.
- Be aware of important deadlines and paperwork that the organization needs to turn in to the Center for Student Engagement.
- Read and understand University policies relevant to organizations.
- Refrain from filling out documents and forms that are expected to be completed by student members.
