Oral History Project Led by Current Graduate Intern

This summer, Ve'Amber Miller continued working on Pullman National Monument's Oral History Project, which previously had a difficult time getting off the ground. She acted as lead on the project and was assisted by two fellow Park Rangers. Although it still proved challenging to find people willing to be narrators for the project—due in part to the pandemic—the team managed to complete four interviews in total. Three of the interviews of construction workers were featured in the monument's first Virtual Labor Day Celebration (facebook.com/pullmanlaborday). The construction workers are currently working on the historic Administrative Building Clock Tower that will become the future visitor center for the National Park Service presence in the Pullman neighborhood.
