Part-Time Instructor, Applied Health Sciences
I earned my Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology and Strength and Conditioning from Western Illinois and Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Health Promotion from Aurora University. I hold certifications through the NSCA (CSCS), USAW (Level 1), and ISSA (Sports Nutrition). My area of expertise is strength and conditioning and I have research interests in sports performance, sports nutrition, technology use in strength and conditioning, exercise testing and prescription, and coaching education. In addition to being an Exercise Science Instructor, I am a Sports Performance Coach for Loyola University Chicago where I develop and implement training plans for the women’s basketball, women’s soccer and softball programs.
- BS, Aurora University
- MS, Western Illinois University
I pursued the field of sports performance because of my personal desire to teach, inspire, and help athletes to realize their full potential. Through my passion to coach and educate athletes, I was inspired to take my same passion to the classroom and teach students about the field of sports performance and health and wellness.
