Mary Sharon Reilly (Mund 64)

Mary Sharon graduated from Mundelein College, with a B.A. in English, Loyola University, M.Ed., in Guidance Counseling, and holds a Type 75 Certificate an academic requirement for placement as a principal or educational superintendent. For over 18 years Mary Sharon has served as a tireless and dedicated Board Member and Immediate Past President of the Mundelein College Alumnae and Gannon Scholar Association.

She has a 38-year career in education serving in the Chicago Public School system as an elementary teacher and counselor. She was President of the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund and is a stellar collaborative leader of the 12 member board overseeing 60,000+ members as Chair of Personnel, member of the Investment, Disability, and Return to Work Committees. 

Mary Sharon’s leadership roles on the Mundelein and CTPF boards helped advance thoughtful, education-driven investment and fundraising decisions that advanced the connections of Mundelein College Alumnae and strengthen the mission of the Gannon Center on Women Leadership.

 

She serves as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Minister of Care, and Sacristan at her Park Ridge Parish of Mary Seat of Wisdom and is a generous financial contributor to all things Mundelein.
