Adobe Login Screen Update

December 18th, 2024

This message is to inform you of an upcoming change to the Adobe Creative Cloud authentication process that will take effect on Wednesday, December 18th at 9:00 a.m. Currently, authentication is accomplished via Shibboleth Single Sign-On (SSO). Going forward, we will use Microsoft Azure (Entra) SSO. While the login screens may look slightly different, there will be no impact to the Adobe experience.

Adobe Login prompt to update from Shibboleth to Microsoft Azure SSOThis change will occur outside of academic terms and should take approximately 3-5 minutes. In the unlikely event of any issues, we have mechanisms in place to swiftly revert to the Shibboleth sign-in process. Please note that while the login screens may look slightly different, there will be no alterations to the Adobe user experience.

This change is driven by our commitment to ensuring ongoing reliability and reducing risk. Rest assured, there will be no impact on your Adobe Creative Cloud user experience other than a different appearance on the SSO login screen. The decision to migrate authentication to Azure (Entra) SSO stems from its superior security, reliability, redundancy, and scalability compared to Shibboleth. Notably, all our Microsoft products currently utilize this SSO method, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook, along with web access to applications like Zoom, Sakai, Panopto, WebCheckout, and Transamerica.
