Testimonials
Quinlan School of Business
Joe Wemhoff
In Spring, 2025, the Quinlan School of Business launched Quinlan 102, Financial Literacy and Well-Being. This major, ground-breaking course was presented asynchronously to 450 students, through over 40 videos which were pre-recorded at Digital Media Services (DMS) state-of-the-art studio on Lakeshore Campus. The videos were of outstanding quality (both image and sound), and the editing was seamless. DMS produced a world-class product, with 70% of the students rating the course as either "Effective" or "Very Effective."

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a student request services from Media Production Services?
Media Production Services is currently only accepting requests from faculty and some staff-focused areas at the university. Any student working collaboratively with a faculty-member would have access to the studio, our services, and be included in as much of the project as advised by the faculty-member.
Will Media Production Services put my videos onto YouTube or any streaming service?
Once your video has been reviewed and approved, we will put the final video or audio into your personal Panopto folder. From there, you will be able to embed, share, and edit all aspects of the video. If you would like to use another streaming service, we can discuss all the available options in a kickoff meeting.
What is the turnaround time for a video?
This answer fluctuates from project to project and your place in our production queue. We encourage pre-production meetings and discussions so our area can schedule the various aspects of filming and post-production. After a kickoff meeting, we will be able to provide a more accurate timetable for sharing the final video.
Do you do filming around campus?
We only offer filming and recording in our production studio locations. This ensures a consistent level of video and sound quality, leveraging all the resources we have in our studios.
For filming and recording throughout the campus, consider these options:
- Use the self-service Equipment Loan Program to film on your own: Borrow equipment from Digital Media Services to film your events on your own. We offer a variety of resources to help make this possible with ease
- Classrooms with Lecture Capture: Use on-campus classrooms with built-in lecture capture cameras and microphones. Use the touch panel near the instructor workstation or location podium and documentation in the classroom for further guides. Media will be recorded to Panopto, the University's video repository.
- Rambler Productions: Submit a request for this School of Communications faculty-led, student-operated service.
- University Marketing & Communications Project Request: Submit a UMC project request for evaluation or recommendation.
- Review a list of External Vendors.
