Outsourcing Your Scanning and Indexing
Occasionally, LUC departments have large amounts of files they would like to scan and index into DocFinity, but lack the personnel to tackle a project of such magnitude. The ECM team has well-established relationships with two vendors, Microsystems and IDT (Integrated Document Technologies, Inc.), who can assist departments that face these limitations.
These vendors offer two options: they can provide onsite resources to scan and index the files directly into the department’s DocFinity repository, OR the department can ship the files to be converted electronically at an offsite processing plant.
The ECM Team must be involved from beginning to end of any project undertaken with an outside vendor, as the resulting files will be stored within DocFinity. We prefer to facilitate the vendor participation from the beginning and will be happy to lead the way in procuring quotes from the work.
